ACS Style

The hallmark of the ACS style is expediency. Journal titles longer than one word are abbreviated according to the conventions set up by CASSI (Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index). ACS represents the more team-based production of knowledge in the sciences by including all names listed as authors in the bibliographic citation. ACS allows for the representation of authors' first names with the initial, another convention that contributes to the brevity of bibliographical references rendered in ACS style.
